New Release: 'Still Here' – What It Means to Keep Going

This song came from a place of quiet persistence.

I used to think if things got hard enough, if the distance grew too wide or the hurt too deep, that would be the end. I'd walk away or get walked away from, and that was that. But life doesn't always give clean endings. Sometimes you wake up and you're still here . . still breathing, still feeling, still trying . . even when part of you wants to quit.

That's what this is about. The stubborn fact that you're still here, even after the silences, the doubts, the moments where everything felt like it could break. It's not a big triumphant return. It's just . . staying. Showing up for the next day, the next conversation, the next small choice to not give up on yourself or the connection that once mattered.

Why "Still Here" Isn't Just a Phrase

We tell ourselves stories about why we're not enough or why it's over. But the truth is simpler and harder: we're still here. The pain didn't erase us. The silence didn't end us. And that persistence . . whether it's love, self-worth, or just getting through another day . . deserves space. No fireworks, no grand resolution. Just the quiet acknowledgment that surviving the low points is its own kind of strength.

I wrote 'Still Here' because I've lived those in-between seasons. Feeling like I should have left or been left, but somehow I'm still standing. Still caring. Still hoping. It's humbling to realize the heart doesn't always follow the script we write for it.

The "Still Here" Perspective

I can only control my own staying. I can't force anyone else to stay, or make the past change, or erase the scars. But I can choose to be gentle with the part of me that's still here. To see it as resilience instead of failure. Love, friendship, self-respect . . they all require showing up, even when it's messy. Even when it's quiet. Especially then.

I've never stopped believing that being here, fully, is worth it. It takes more than absence or perfection to make meaning . . it takes showing up for whatever is left.

If you've ever woken up after everything fell apart and quietly realized you're still here . . still breathing, still feeling, still willing to try . . this song's for you.

Give it a listen wherever you stream music.
